Travis Kelce is grateful for his “very strong relationship” with his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“I enjoy all aspects of life, that’s for damn sure,” Kelce, 35, said during an appearance Wednesday, Jan. 15, on The Stephen A. Smith Show. “Me and Taylor are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could want in the stadium.”

Kelce and Swift, 35, have been together since the summer of 2023 after he attended one of her Eras Tour concerts in Kansas City armed with a DIY friendship bracelet that has become synonymous with her performances. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had hoped to give Swift a bracelet — which had his phone number on it — but were unable to meet the pop star. The three-time Super Bowl champion famously recalled the perceived rejection on his “New Heights” podcast later in July 2023.

After Swift heard Kelce’s plan while listening to an episode of the podcast, she reached out privately. The couple went public the following September when Swift attended her first Chiefs game.

Now, Swift is a staple of Kelce’s football games. (During the 2024-25 season, she attended nearly every home game at KC’s Arrowhead Stadium.)

“Personally, I think the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to approach and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of yourself,” Kelce added Wednesday. “That’s why I wanted to be at (her) concerts supporting her and being there for her, making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she does in life.”

In between publicly sharing his support for Swift, Kelce said he remains “as focused as (he has ever been)” on the football field.

“I’m as focused as ever on my job and being the best player I can be week in and week out in this team,” he said. “It’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s newfound relationship is “going great,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “It’s still so new, but they really love each other,” adds the insider. “They both want to see each other whenever they can and they both understand each other’s schedules.” Kansas City Chiefs tight end, (…)

Kelce has had a slow start to the current NFL season, which some critics have blamed on his frequent trips to see Swift perform on stage. (She wrapped it Eras Tour in December 2024, at the peak surprise celebratory party organized by Kelce.)

“You have to be true to yourself,” he told Smith, referring to criticism of his relationship. “People say things (and) you have to be able to think and look at yourself and see, ‘Why are they saying those things?’ I still played at a high level knowing all that. We won football games, which is all I ever cared about, and on top of that, this building knew how hard I worked and how focused I was on football all year.”

Kelce and the Chiefs secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC and are now getting ready for the divisional round playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 18, for a chance to play in the conference championship and, hopefully, the Super Bowl.
