Tips before playing
Before you actually can play, you need to do a few things. Here are some tips to set up everything, because the search interface is not always the easiest to navigate.
Set your limit. The last thing you want while playing is to run into the object in your room, while he basically tied his eyes. Your search will guide you through the process of setting up your border. Roomscale allows you to draw a playing space to move freely, motionless when you are still. But what if you move locations? Or do you want to play the game sitting instead of getting up?
To change the border, press the Oculus button on the right controller (this is the one below the joystics). This lifts the menu at the bottom of the screen (you only have to do so if the menu doesn’t already appear). From there, if you are hovering over an hour, you can choose a quick setting board. Then select the Guardian. If you choose stationary, you just have to hit the confirmation and you are ready. If you choose a room, it will guide you through drawing a new Guardian border.
Your search can also support the mapping of rooms, which uses exterior cameras to find walls and objects in your space and remember them later. Therefore, the movement between the rooms is smooth and effortlessly, as well as enables advanced XR features in some games. You can find information on this feature on the “Settings of the Environment” tab.
Buy games. AND Meta Quest Store is the easiest way to buy games for your headphones, but there are three ways to do so. No matter what option you choose, you need to have a payment method in a file (credit card, debit card or paypal). The browser method is the easiest way to enter these details.
- Browser: Log in to the store. From there you can enter the game name in the search strip in the upper right corner or click “Apps & Games” to view. Once you choose the game, there is a blue button on the right page with an info -side page that states its price. Press it and it will ask you to buy.
- Application: Download Oculus app and log in to your account. Click the tank button in the lower left order and, as well as the steps of browser, you can move or look for a specific title. After clicking on the game, the application uses the same button with the price system at the bottom of the screen. Just click the button, view the payment information and press the purchase.
- Headsets: With headphones, bring the bottom menu again. The orange store icon is with a little shopping bag. Click on this and you have the ability to review the games or searches. Once you choose the game and look at his information page, press the Blue button on the right with the price to buy.
Note: If the game is free, the blue button will say “get” and not list the price. And if you buy the game via a browser or application, you will still need to download it to the headphones. See the next step for the instructions.
Download and access your games. Once you buy the game, you have to download it. If you bought it via the headset store, the download should be automatically launched. Once you do, the button will change in “playing” so you can step in.
If you bought the game via a browser or application, head to the headset store and look for the game. The store will list it as “purchased”, but when you click on its information page, the Blue button will change from the price list in saying “Download”. Press to and automatically show you the progress tape to download.
If your headphones are connected or at a charging dock, and you can also use the Oculus application to start downloading on the device. I will use this to pick up the game on my phone, then ready to go when I put on my headset.
To access all your games – and purchased and downloaded – incorporate the lower menu strip by hitting the Oculus button on that right controller. From there click the “Apps” button on the right (the one with nine dots). This will show you all your purchases, and you can only filter those that are installed or those that are not. Click the game icon and it should be loaded immediately.
Journalist Your screen. You will occasionally discover that your screen is no longer focused as you want. You may have taken off your headset to check the phone or drink some water or maybe you are in the game and want to change your orientation. To quickly reset your display, hold the meta button on the right controller for a few seconds. You will see how a small dial appears, and when it is filled, the view will be reset in the direction you are currently looking for.
Check the battery duration. When filled completely, the quest battery usually takes about two hours. If you are not sure how much the juice of the other headset is, press the Oculus button on the right controller to bring in the lower menu. On the left, under the hour, there is a small battery icon that gives you a rough meter of your charging. If you click on it, it brings a fast setting screen. In the upper left place is the exact percentage, like any of your controllers.
