According to Leakes, 57, herself, there was a possibility — as long as the price was right, among other contributing factors.
During the interview with TMJpublished on Friday, January 10, the reality star responded RHO superfan Cynthia ErivoA recent call for Leakes to return to the series. “Cynthia, I love you, thank you very much and I completely agree,” she told the newspaper.
When asked if a return to the show was indeed a consideration, Leakes said, “I don’t know, if the opportunity was right and the vetting was in place, why not?” before finishing her answer with a cheeky laugh.
The topic was prompted by the comments of Eriv, whose favorite show it is RHOduring the interview with In the Magazine which was published on January 3. The Wicked the star told the publication at the time: “I’m a fan of Nene Leakes. i love her where she is Bring her back please She’s great.”
Leakes was one of the original cast members RHOappearing in the first seven seasons of the hit Bravo series that premiered in 2008. Although she dropped out of Season 8, Leakes made a cameo during the cast’s trip to Jamaica, and he came back franchise for seasons 10 and 12 before saying goodbye for good in 2020.
Leakes said TMJ that she has “too many things” going on in her professional life right now. “Right now, Sierra (Dooraka Sierra Glamshop) and I are here in New York promoting our new podcast,” Leakes detailed, referring to the couple’s launch of the “Me & My Homegirl” podcast on Thursday, January 16.
She added yes RHO fans can expect to hear the duo keep it “1000% real” as they talk about “anything and everything, nothing is off limits, from pop culture to relationships, love to finance,” with occasional guest stars.
Leakes also touched on the subject of the next remarriage death her husband, Gregg Leakes2021. “I don’t know about remarriage, I don’t mind marriage and if I find the right one, I’m all theirs.”
Erivo, 38, is not the only one celebrity fan of Real Housewives franchise. Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are also self-proclaimed superfans, besides Colman Domingo, Jon Hamm and Jessica Chastain.
Rihanna, 36, went so far as to show her support for her favorite iteration, the The Real Housewives of New Yorkcarrying piece Leah McSweeney‘s Married to the Mob streetwear items.
“You’re not exactly my demographic, so it’s okay. I already got Rihanna wearing my sh–, I don’t need you to wear my sh–, McSweeney, 42, said on the show when RHONY costar Ramona Singer researched a clothing line.
The response then prompted Rihanna to share a photo of herself in a “Bitch Mob” T-shirt alongside a clip from the scene and captioning the Instagram post at the time, “What did @ramonasinger say?😂#RHONY.”
