Lovense is a a brand I shied away from in my early years of reviewing sex toys. It wasn’t anything personal, but Lovense products always show up at a party with so many bells and whistles that, at least for me, it was overwhelming. I’m naturally overstimulated—my brain is always all over the place—so it didn’t make sense to vibrate the Lovense toy.
But over time, as more Lovense proposals came my way, I couldn’t ignore it anymore. I had to overcome the fear that my brain might explode from too much technological stimulation and embrace what Lovense provides: an epic fun ride. Or at least that’s exactly what I experienced Axis 3rabbit vibrator.
Another stratosphere
I’m not one to throw around compliments, so trust me when I say that Osci 3 is out of this world. From the start, it looks like any other rabbit vibrator on the market, but looks can be deceiving. The inner G-spot stimulation arm heats up to normal body temperature, making it great when you’re rolling solo and want body-safe silicone to feel more human than cold synthetic material.
It also has, and this is the first time I’ve come across such a feature, a G-spot oscillator. When turned on, the circular area about the size of a penny gives your G-spot one hell of a massage through a variety of different patterns—from tapping to wave-like sensations, as well as a steady stream of patternless vibrations that grow astronomically more intense each time you press the button. It took me a few minutes to succumb to the pleasure of it all because at first I was so focused on how the hell it was happening and it felt so damn good. It feels like being fingered by a professional.
None of this is to say that the outer hand wasn’t all that exciting – its job is to stimulate the clitoris after all. It does this using different vibration patterns and intensities and, like the hand of the G-spot, it becomes powerful. So strong that if you have a sensitive clitoris, this toy, even at the lowest intensity, can be a bit much.
A special treat
The Lovense application is easy to manage despite all the features offered by Osci 3. You don’t know need app to use the vibrator, but it opens several plugins. Most interesting is the ability to send a link to a public Lovense platform full of strangers from anywhere in the world—they can then control your vibrator. You can talk to these people or just sit back and let some random person from, say, New Zealand operate your toy while you’re in bed in New York.
I’ve never been into anonymous sex and the idea of anonymous masturbation sessions doesn’t turn me on, but I sent the link to my Osci 3 blank to see if there was anyone on the other side. Many people stood in line. This was also the first time in my life that someone called me “mom” and asked if I was their mom, something I hope to never be subjected to again. (I’m not judging anyone who’s into this backwardness, but it’s just not my thing.) You can also participate in a real-time worldwide orgy with Lovense Vibemate.
As for long-distance interaction, I tried the Osci 3 with my partner, who is currently on the other side of the Atlantic—and it was great fun. You can use the Osci 3 for nearly five hours on a full charge, and thanks to its ergonomic design, your wrist will be a happy camper—even for carpal syndrome sufferers like me.
I would recommend the Osci 3 to anyone who likes to experiment and explore new heights, because it lets you do just that—even with strangers. Its $199 price tag (reduced to $99 upon release) is more than fair for what it is—a great companion for anyone in a long-distance relationship.
