If you’ve been craving some Requirementsthe hunt is finally over. Sony just announced that it is the latest non-Spider-Man Spider-Man spinoff, Kraven the Hunter, arrives in digital format on Tuesday, January 14. With it comes a host of extra features and the inevitability of a movie be memorized to death on all possible social networks.
The film, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Russell Crowe, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola and Christopher Abbott, opened in theaters in early December 2024 and quickly became a critical and financial disappointment. The film has a shocking 17% on Rotten Tomatoes and has grossed under $25 million domestically and barely $60 million worldwide. By almost any measure, the film was a disaster.
The key word there, however, is “almost”. Because one category Requirements didn’t completely fail when held up against other Sony Spider-Man spinoffs. It has a higher Rotten Tomatoes rating than both Madame Web and Morbius. they exist more Spider-Man connections of Poison. And while Requirements was surpassed, in most cases comfortably, by all the others, there are a few other things worth noting. You can read our review for more about them here.
But really, since the movie made so little money, chances are most of you haven’t seen it, and maybe a quick download or retail sale will fix that. If you do, you’ll be able to watch the wild movie and then explore the following special features: deleted and extended scenes, making-of documentaries and more, exploring “Becoming Kraven,” “Beast Mode: The Stunts of the Hunt,” “Kraven’s First Hunt: direction”, “Allies & Antagonists: The Killer Cast” and the always winning “Outtakes & Bloopers”.
And if you’d rather own a physical copy Kraven the Hunterwell, you’re in luck too. 4K, Blu-ray and DVD they are coming on March 4th. Will you watch Requirements at home? Are there any interesting things? Let us know below.
