Hailee Steinfeld is already an acclaimed actress and singer, but now she is a member of the NFL.
A new billboard in Buffalo, New York, congratulated Steinfeld, 28, and the Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on theirs recent engagement declaring the couple the city’s king and queen. “Queen City has a new queen,” the billboard read X photo shared by CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson on Sunday, January 12. “Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”
The billboard featured illustrated photos of Steinfeld and Allen, 28, as the queen and king playing cards. Steinfeld’s caricature wore a crown and flashed an engagement ring, while Allen’s playing card featured his No. 17 jersey and helmet.
The billboard was apparently erected in celebration of the Bills’ playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Steinfeld was in attendance for the game, which the Bills won 31-7. Reserve guard Shane Buechelewoman, Paige Buechelehe reposted a video to his Instagram Story of the women he’s watching the game with Taylor Bernardwife of a Bills player Terrell Bernardand Hailee Watson.

Steinfeld and Allen announced their engagement together Post on Instagram in November 2024. The post — with the caption “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️” — featured footage of Allen’s proposal, which took place in front of a picturesque sunset on the beach, under a beautiful floral arch and surrounded by candles.
Allen later admitted in the December 2024 issue of Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter that he did “very nervous” to ask the question. “It was hard to keep secrets from you and other people in your life to keep secrets from you,” he noted. “Then several times throughout the day the song would come on and I would cry thinking about how special our day was going to be.”

Sharing more details about their special moment, Allen added: “I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I said your full name and asked you nicely. I said please.”
Allen said Steinfeld was “extremely surprised” by the proposal, gushing, “It’s an amazing feeling to be engaged to someone so special, loving and caring, beautiful, funny and happy.”

Steinfeld and Allen started dating shortly after the athlete broke up with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams in April 2023. “Hailee and Josh have been together for about a month and it’s going really great,” a source exclusively said Us Weekly in June 2023. “(They) laugh a lot when they are together (and) are always smiling.”
The couple did not leave Instagram official until July 2024 when Allen shared several photos of himself and Steinfeld in the Instagram carouselwho wrote: “Go ahead 🤘🏼.”
A month before their engagement, the duo wore the same ringleader costumes to lead a Halloween for Allen’s Bills teammates and loved ones. “Welcome to Josh & Hailee’s Circus Showdown,” read a sign inside the venue shown in social media posts from the event.
