Getty Images (3)Music’s brightest stars will be on hand for 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2.
Nominations for the awards were announced in November 2024, and women dominated all categories. Beyoncé led the pack with 11 nominations for her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carterwhile Charli XCX and Billie Eilish gathered eight and seven nominations. Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan they all scored six.
Months later, as wildfires raged through Los Angeles in January, some Hollywood events have been postponedbut the Recording Academy said the Grammys would go on as scheduled. Instead, the show will focus on forest fire relief efforts.
“This year’s performance … will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the courage and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurtchairman of the board of directors, wrote in a letter sent to members of the Recording Academy on January 13.

The letter continues: “In difficult times, music has the power to heal, comfort and unite like nothing else. The Grammys will not only honor the art and achievements of our music community, but also serve as a platform to reinforce the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles.”
The Recording Academy also launched a campaign to help the fires in Los Angeles in collaboration with MusicCares with a donation of $1 million. The letter said the organization has already distributed $2 million in emergency aid thanks to additional contributions.

Who will be honored at the 2025 Grammy Awards?

Frankie BeverlyClash, Ph.D. Bobby Jones, The Taj Mahal, Prince, Roxanne Shante and Frankie Valli are this year’s winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Errol Garner, Glyn Johns and Tanja Leon will receive commissioner’s awards, doc dr. Leo Beranek will be honored with a technical Grammy Award.
