
Beyoncé is delaying its long-awaited announcement due to Wildfires in Los Angeles.
“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around the Los Angeles area,” the pop superstar, 43, shared via Instagram on Monday, January 13.
She continued: “I continue to pray for the healing and restoration of families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”
Beyoncé has set the big announcement – which fans are speculating could be anything from a new tour to a new album – for January 14 after her Halftime of the NFL Christmas game in Houston, Texas. Star performed songs from her Cowboy Carter album for the first time during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on December 25th.
The singer’s family has been affected by wildfires in the Los Angeles area that have ravaged areas such as the Pacific Palisades and Hollywood Hills. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowlesdivided by Instagram on Thursday, January 9, that she lost her Malibu bungalow in a fire. “It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place,” revealed Tina, 71.
“God bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions,” Tina continued. “We (thank you) for your dedication and courage and for saving so many lives. This could have been much worse without the dedication of disaster workers and first responders. I am very sad for the people who lost five family members. My deepest prayers are with you!!!!!”
She added: “To the people who have lost their homes and possessions, I can only imagine how it feels to lose your possessions and all that you have worked so hard and sacrificed so much to own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you ❤️I can’t imagine the pain, suffering and fear you are enduring. I pray diligently for our beautiful city of Los Angeles!! However, we are resilient and we will recover!”
On Sunday 12.01. Published by Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation the new LA Fire Relief Fund, to which the nonprofit has pledged $2.5 million.
“Los Angeles, we stand with you. 🫶🏽,” BeyGood shared in an Instagram post.
“The fund is intended to assist families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who have lost their homes, and churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” the organization said.
