The court provides Drake’s access to Kendrick Lamara’s recording contracts

Drake got the green light to access the documents of sensitive record houses in his constant case defamation over the song of Kendrick Lamar, which is not like us.

The star requested copies of the Kendrick Lamar recording agreement, as well as information on salaries and bonuses for the elderly executives at his record label Universal Music Group (UMG).

Drake accuses the defamation company by allowing the publication and promotion of Lamar’s poem, claiming that he spreads “a false and malicious narrative” that he is a pedophile.

Universal submitted a request to reject the case last month, calling it a “illogical” attempt to “silence” by Lamar’s creative expression.

He also requested a break in the evidence collection process, known as Discovery, while the request was considered.

However, on Wednesday, Judge Jeannette A Vargas ordered Discovery to continue.

Michael Gottlieb, Drake’s chief lawyer, celebrated the decision in a BBC statement.

“Now it’s time to see what Umg was trying to hide so desperately,” he said.

According to court charges, Drake’s team is looking for documents that include “all the contracts between UMG -a Kendrick Lamar” and salaries and stimulating plans for the staff of the older publishing of the record houses, which returns to 2020.

Umg opposed the request, saying that the “expensive” process of collecting “commercially sensitive” information was “unnecessary burden” when the case could still be dismissed.

The hearing on the rejection proposal is scheduled for June 30.

Drake’s lawsuit signifies the last chapter in his long quarrel with the lamery.

The couple passed their heads on a series of rap songs last year. In one, Drake accused Lamar of family abuse.

Lamar answered not like us, in which he characterized Drake and his environment as a “certified pedophile”, which they should “register and put on a neighboring hour”.

In court documents, Drake claimed that Universal knew that Lamar’s texts were false, but “he continued to worship the flame of” controversy for profit.

The lawsuit also accused Universal of bothering with Spotify to fake the electric numbers because they were not like us, a claim that both companies had rejected.

In response, Universal, who is Drake’s label for more than a decade, said: “Not only these claims are untrue, but also the term to strive to harm the reputation of any artist – let alone Drake – illogical.”

“During his career, Drake intentionally and successfully used Umg to distribute his music and poetry to engage in conventionally incredible” Rab Battle “to express his feelings for other artists.”

In addition, the label claimed that Drake was “lost by the Rab Battle of Rab, which he provoked and willingly participated.”

“Now he tries to arrest legal procedure to silence the artist’s creative expression and seek compensation from (universal) for the distribution of artist music,” the company concluded.
