Aubrey Plaza deleted her Instagram account a week after the death of her late husband, Jeff Brothers.
While Plaza’s account was previously active, the message now reads: “Sorry, this page is unavailable.”
Plaza’s decision to delete her account comes after news broke that Baena died at the age of 47. According to the medical examiner’s records he reviewed Us WeeklyBaena’s official cause of death was listed as suicide. No additional causes or suspicious circumstances surrounding Baena’s death have been listed.
A few days later, Plaza’s representative addressed his death in a statement on his behalf Parks and recreation actress and her family. “This is an unimaginable tragedy,” reads the statement for Our to read. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
Before his death, Plaza, 40, i a filmmaker they were together for 14 years and exchanged vows in 2020. A year after saying “I do,” Plaza recalled how she and Baena decided to tie the knot.
“A lot of things happened to me during COVID. Yes, we got married. Big deal,” Plaza recalled during a December 2021 guest appearance The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “One night we were a little bored. We got married and I’ll tell you how: Onehourmarriage.com. It’s real, look.”
Plaza continued: “We were in prison. Things have gotten a little crazy, especially in my house. My husband really fell in love with sewing ties, and when I say sewing, I mean 50 shirts a day.”
The White lotus the actress said she wanted to “do something” special for their 10th anniversary and decided to hold a ceremony in their backyard.
“I made a very quick love altar in our backyard. The facts of our love, pebbles, smoke, fire. Things like that,” she said. “Then a man from the Alhambra appeared in a Hawaiian shirt with a briefcase (to perform the ceremony). … I can’t remember much, it was vague. But I’m pretty sure it’s legal.”
The following year, Plaza said her wedding to Baena was it was not well received by some fans. “Oh, my God. Jeff got death threats in his DMs,” Plaza said Cosmopolitan in profile 2022. “I think I am. People project so many things onto marriage, but it wasn’t some big statement that I’m trying to make where I want everyone to react to that.”
