Kevin FrankeRuby’s ex-husband, appeared at the hearing for the Committee on Business, Work and Trade on Tuesday, February 18, where he read a statement on behalf of his 11-year-old daughter, Per Tribune Salt Lake. (Kevin and Ruby divide children Shari, Chad, Abby, Julie, Russell and Eve.)
“I thought nothing was wrong,” the 11-year-old statement said. “I felt” happy “but really not. When I started old, I realized that the YouTube channel had destroyed my childhood. But at least I got some money, right? Oh, okay, not really, because my mom is all withdrawn in 2023. I worked hard for that money.
Her statement continued, “You could now say that my father told me to say these things and use me, but that is not true. If anyone uses his children, they are the YouTubers who record them for money.”
Kevin was at a meeting of the Committee in support of the state proposal of a law that would financially protect the impact of children and the earnings they earn through their parents’ content. The invoice will require that creators online earn more than $ 150,000 a year from the content of the children to single out a portion of their profit into confidence that children can access when they are 18 years old.

But now, without even getting it, I seek attention from others or feel like they don’t love me. Then these people think I’m mean.”
She added that she hoped that the account would hold “Utah children safer”, adding that she knew “more than anything” about “a terrible situation where many children are currently currently.”
Kevin also read the statement of his 16-year-old daughter, who noted that “as children, you do not understand what you are undergoing” when you talk about being ahead and focusing on her mother’s YouTube channel.
Ruby was convicted of abuse of children and sentenced to four consecutive prison sentences in February 2024, which ranges from one to 15 years.
“You sell your life, privacy, body and stories to the whole world,” the 16-year-old statement continued. “And as a child, you inadvertently renounce all this. You sell your childhood. Although there is no money that can make up for that loss, the least that can be done now is to ensure that the child is paid for his work and has the right to remove and step down if he wants.”
