Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Monday that the United States agreed to a month’s implementation of the President Donald TrumpTariffs on the goods from her country.
Sheinbaum also said in Tvit that after talking to Trump, Mexico would “immediately enhance” his northern border with the US with 10,000 National Guard soldiers “to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States, especially Fentanil.”
“We had a good conversation with President Trump with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty; we have achieved a number of agreements,” Sheinbaum wrote in Tvita, according to a translation from Spain.
“The United States is dedicated to working on the prevention of weapons trade with a large power supply to Mexico,” she wrote.
